The Bog Garden is the gem of Riverbanks’ west campus entrance.
A welcoming waterfall cascades over a vibrant blue wall onto large granite rocks before flowing into the bog. There you will find a variety of interesting plants including native, carnivorous pitcher plants, aquatic lotus and water lilies. Surrounding the waterfall, the beds focus on plants that originate in tropical and subtropical areas. Various beds highlight plants indigenous to Africa, Australia, Asia, and Central and South America. This colorful space is a warm welcome to Riverbanks Botanical Garden.
